Visiting GISEC reminded me of the RSA Conference, but in its mini-version. Absolutely identical organization of the event and only the presence of a large number of people in kanduras and abayas suggested that I was not on the west coast of North America. And the size, of course. RSAC usually occupies two large pavilions, where about one and a half thousand information security players from all over the world content writing service exhibit. A closer association, in terms of the number of players represented, is London's InfoSecurity, which presents both global giants and European players, often unfamiliar to Russians, and, of course, regional stands. At GISEC this year, there were separate stands of Turkish information security companies, Indian, French and German.

By the way, I had no idea that the Turks had so many players in the cybersecurity sector (more than 200). I didn't know anyone except COMODO. If Russia and Turkey become increasingly friendly, then perhaps we'll have to look at this country in terms of information security solutions. Or consider them a threat
Russia once came to London with its stand and it seems to me that this is a good practice for companies that look to the West/East, but are not able to afford such a trip, pay for the stand, hire stand attendants, etc. on their own. The state, especially if it actively talks not only about import substitution, but also about exporting high technologies to friendly countries, could help in this matter. As, for example, India does. The dominance of Indians in the UAE really amazed me - they not only occupy many positions in IT and IS on the customer side, but also represent their companies, which, due to very low prices for their services, actively dump and drive more serious players out of the market. At least, according to conversations with colleagues and friends living or working on the Arabian Peninsula, Indians pose a big threat.

There was no Israeli stand this year, which is understandable - the friendship between Arabs and Jews is situational and constantly faces ups and downs. A year ago, having learned that you were from an Israeli company, they would run from you like fire, and today they are passionate friends. And such changeable weather in their relations is constantly. I was surprised that there was no Chinese or South Korean stand - they were at RSAC in San Francisco. And if, well, Buddha, South Koreans, then the absence of companies from the Celestial Empire (except, of course, the huge Huawei stand) surprised me. After, essentially, the ban on working in the tasty American market, they had to look for new sales points and the UAE is perfect for this, but no.
